Thum Nhoom

Thum nhoom is the Wik-Mungkan name for bushfire. The bushfire season begins during the season of Onchan-min and goes all the way through Kayaman Maal and Kayaman Pung Nganth Ling Ling seasons. We start making bushfires in July which is Onchan-min season. A good bushfire keeps our Country healthy around Aurukun and our homelands.
